From December 4th-8th, 2023, Strathmore University University proudly hosted 60 mediators and mediation trainers for an international accredited mediation training.
The training was conducted by the Strathmore Dispute Resolution Centre in collaboration with other institutions, including the Kenyan Judiciary, Jones Day (U.S.), and ADR Centre (Italy).
Facilitators from various countries within and outside Africa, including Kenya, the United States, Romania, Italy, Jamaica, Gambia, Zambia Rwanda and Burundi guided participants through immersive sessions, including role plays and simulations.
The closing ceremony was graced by Hon. Paul Ndemo Maina OGW, the acting Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Justice Anne-Clair Williams, Jane Wathuta , Dean, Strathmore Law School.

Trainees will soon be accredited by the International Mediation Institute, unlocking doors to practice international mediation upon meeting assessment criteria.
